Warm red and orange hues, a stained and hand-painted wooden floor, framed textiles from a tiny African village hanging on the walls, and a selection of books and DVDs that includes Tsotsi and A Century of South African Short Stories: this hideaway pays homage to owner Lisa’s South African heritage. The king-size bed, topped with plump cushions and vibrant throws, guarantees a blissful night’s sleep. For seductive soaping, there are two bathing areas to choose from: one inside, with a rainwater shower, stone floors and a separate toilet, plus a bush-spying spa bath set on a timber deck outside. Bath products by Olieve&Olie are provided, and there’s a little selection of extra unguents to buy, including salt scrub, lip balm and body butter. Grab chilled Hepburn Mineral Spring juices from the minibar, make some proper coffee or T2 tea and nibble on the home-made biscuits baked by Paul. Each suite has a flatscreen TV, CD player, DVD player, radio and iPod dock.
